Andrew is a Cytech qualified mountain bike mechanic. He has been repairing, sevicing and building bikes for years and prides himself on the highest quality work. With our own workshop Andrew never lets a bike leave until it is running like new.
He can deal with all of your bike servicing needs from the small to the big; from the simple to the complex. A well serviced bike is much easier and often safer to ride. It also means your bike will last longer in the tough mountain biking environment of mud and water. He can also build and true mountain bike wheels.
Andrew also provides a personal bike set up service which ensures you get the most out of your mountain bike. MTB bikes need to have handlebars, seat, brake and gear levers, forks and suspension set to match your height, weight and type of riding. This short process can make a huge difference to your mountain biking.
In recent years Andrew has gained a valuable reputation for custom build bikes. After talking to you to understand your needs he will source the best bike frame and blend of components to create your ideal mountain bike.

Suspension Forks Service
The service includes:
Comprehensive pre-service test
Cleaning of the unit
Full strip down
Inspection of internal parts
Replacing all seals as necessary
Re-building with new oil/lubricant
Re-pressurisation of air forks
A comprehensive post-service test.
Rear Suspension Service
Our suspension experts can provide air can services on Manitou, FOX and RockShox air sprung rear shocks.
The service includes:
Full strip down
Inspection and cleaning of the air canister
New seal kit fitted
Shock lubricated
Re-building of shock
Re-pressurisation of shock
Your shock will then be returned along with any replaced parts (for your inspection) and a technical report detailing the work undertaken.
Basic Service
Basic service recommended every 4-9 months, depending on use.
The basic service includes:
Frame & Forks: Wiped down and checked for alignment
Wheels: Trued and spokes retensioned.
Hubs and rims checked for damage and wear.
Bearings checked for wear and adjusted if needed.
Tyres: Tyres and sidewalls checked for wear and inflated to
Correct pressure.
Headset: Checked for free movement and adjusted as necessary.
Bottom Bracket: Checked for free movement and adjusted as necessary.
Bolts: Checked and tightened to correct torque.
Chain and Cassette: Removed, cleaned, checked for wear and re-lubricated.
Brakes: Checked for effective operation and adjusted.
Annual Service
Annual service recommended every 12-18 months, depending on use.
The annual service includes everything in the basic service plus:
Frame and Forks: Full strip down.
Cleaned and checked for alignment and damage,
threads cleaned and checked.
Frame and disc mounts faced (if applicable).
Wheels: Hubs dismantled, cleaned, inspected and reassembled.
Headset: Removed, cleaned, regreased (if applicable), refitted
and checked for movement.
Replacement fitted if necessary.
Bottom Bracket:Removed, cleaned, regreased (if applicable), refitted
and checked for movement.
Replacement fitted if necessary.
Other Components: Removed, checked for wear, cleaned and
lubricated.
New cable set, grips/bar tape fitted.
